The new office space has some temporary furniture in place, but in a couple months it will be very zenplush (new word I just made up).

Michigan

It was so great to be home for a few days. Plenty of friends, family, and "sack of potatos' with Rosie. And by the way Rosie leaves me speechless, she is the cutest girl ever!!! And a genius

NYC what!

One of my really good friends Nic is having a baby girl in a couple months, so my roommate Ryder and I decided to take him to NYC for one last celebration of freedom. It was his first time in NYC ever so we had lots to do (as the photos show). We were there three nights, three days, and rented a very nice condo from our now friend, and great music composer/producer David Friedman. Great times!

Ryder and I watching the sun come up Sunday morning from the balcony, it was amazing.

Ryder in Times Square late night, the best time to walk through there, during the day it is a way too crowded
Ryder, Brady (our buddy in NYC, he runs the show out there) and myself cold chillin at a little Havana themed club
One of David's many multi platinum records
Ryder and Nic deciding what the next move is right after the Statue of Liberty
Bernie (business partners with Brady, also locks in down in a big way in NYC) with Nic at Marquee. Notice the light color of Nic's drink, a certain someone kept adding more liquor whenever he wasn't looking.

Nothin new...

So I know I have not updated the blog in a bit, that was thanks to the 4th of July holiday. I must say I was sad to miss out on the first Platte River trip in about 7 or 8 years. But times change and commitments come up, so Utah it was. I hope all the best went down in Honor though boys. Anyway, I do not have photos from this weekend because we were out of the lake all weekend. Waverunners, boats, camping, and hitting up PC at night made for a fun but long weekend. A little sunburn, but nothing too bad. I can hardly walk now though because my back and shoulders are so sore from the wakeboarding, good times good times. Happy late 4th of July to all! And also for those of you who did not hear, I left my position with Temkin last week in order to dedicate more time to my consulting and to take a position with an investment coaching company. Wish all of you at Temkin the best.

Weekend hiking

I did my first local hike this weekend, and it went fantastic. I did he hike by myself so that made for a very peaceful afternoon. The hike is called Donut Falls, and that is because the waterfall you get to has a gigantic "grotto" looking feature that you can hike right next to. The hike is 1.5 miles and takes about an hour total roundtrip to get to. But I was full of curiosity so I hiked above the falls and along a river trail for another two hours until I got all the way to the snow caps and some old mining shafts. Really cool scenery up there.

Some more photos from Zion's a couple weekends ago. If I can get over this stomach virus I might go camping again this weekend

under the weather

Well, I came down with a case of food poisoning (I guess you shouldn't eat day old tunafish) so I am posted up on the couch for a while. That means plenty of time to add new posts so here we go...

I am not a person that talks about politics too much, but I was reading an article yesterday about Israel, the U.S., and Iran. There was a comment that an Iranian official made that to me seemed quite scary. Here is the clip from the article...

"Our last word is that if you want to head toward Iran, be sure to bring with you a walking stick and a pair of artificial legs, because if you do come to Iran you will no longer have legs to go back home with." Hejazi said.

Played a round of golf on Friday. Still snow on the caps in  the background. We shot 66 in a 2 man scramble.

My Business Comm teacher in college has a pretty legit photography operation going on, so I thought I would share...

More Zion photos

Here are a couple more photos from our trip last weekend. As I said that place was amazing. I am thinking about going camping around SLC again this weekend, but a b-day party in PC might occur instead. Anyway, enjoy the pics. And notice the hoodie John is wearing...Rosestar!

First test

I have posted a photo of us from this weekend down in Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. The weather was amazing. 100 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. 4 of us guys headed down and camped at a local Indian campground. We did two separate hikes, one of which was to watch one of the best sunsets I have ever seen. More photos to come I am just getting the hang of this, and I need to do some post production on my photos to lighten them a bit
