Mid February Update

So this is one of those times where there will be some bad and some good. I have decided to tell about the bad first because it is not as important as the good news...

As you can see from the pictures below, my car was broken into over the weekend. Someone was nice enough to smash my driver's side window and steal my belongings including: phone, wallet, etc. So the streak of bad luck continues, but luckily the insurance will be covering this one. The worst part about the break in is that I was staying at my friends house that is only one block behind the state capitol. You would think that would be a safe place to have a car parked, but I guess not in the crazy state of Utah.

Anyway, on to the good...

My sister sent me photos over the weekend of the ultrasounds from her recent visit and it is confirmed. I am going to have a nephew! I am already sure his first cast will be blamed on Uncle Steve.

Bum beginning to February

I was down in Las Vegas all last week for a trade show (Snowsports Industry of America) and had a great time catching up with all the old friends, co-workers, and industry peeps. No photos though, have to keep the memories in Vegas;)
But unfortunately the day I arrived home we went snowboarding and my shoulder dislocated...again. It happened while just riding, not a crash, but it is the third time in eight months that my shoulder has come out. According to the doc this one means it is time for necessary season ending surgery. Bummer. The doc that helped me was very informative with teaching me about my injury and how to get my shoulder back in on my own if this were to happen again.

I am typing with one hand since the other is in a sling, so my apologies on the short entry.

Ok I decided to post one photo of a really good looking jacket I viewed at SIA. I cant tell you what brand because it is a sample from next year, but I can tell you this brand has the best designed line of the year. Here's a hint...three numbers.

Here is a photo of my homie hitting the rail that is positioned just before the quarter pipe where my shoulder popped. We were in the backcountry so I had to hike out about 15 minutes.
We also attempted to pop my shoulder back in in the parking lot before heading to the clinic but that didnt work.
A normal shoulder

Normal shoulder on left (notice ball in socket) / dislocated on right (notice ball on top of socket)
