Zion I concert
Last night was the Zion I concert put on by one of my clients and good friends Lifestyles Projection Movement. Urban Lounge was the location of the concert, and the night did not disappoint. Scenic Byway opened for Zion I and as usual set it off. Their new stuff with Neil on guitar and Flash n Flare spinning on the 1's and 2's is off the chain. Then Zion I brought the house down with classics, live MPC beat making, and new upbeat tracks. The LPM guys really know how to throw a great event, complete with beer pong and free pizza even last night.
Zion I playing for a packed house early into the morning.
All up in the mix with Scenic Byway hyping up the crowd.
The beer pong winners bracket. Team LUNT later renamed with a B ended up coming back from a 3 cup deficit in round 1 to take the whole thing.
Last week at Brighton
This past Sunday was the official end to the 2009 Brighton season. We were graced with 10 inches of fresh snow Tue, 28 inches of fresh snow Wed, and 11 inches of fresh snow on Thur. Needless to say there was a lot of snow to enjoy for closing weekend, and sunshine to match. Last day was 60 degrees and sunny too!

I celebrated Easter this year with a tradition I would like to continue for some time. I was asked by a good friend Nic to come along on a camping/RV/4 wheeling/rock crawling trip. We went down to "Jeep Week" in Moab, Utah for a huge festival they have every year. I was told there was 800,000 people in a two week period last year, but due to bad weather and the economy this year seemed a bit slower. But with that being said, our campsite didnt show any signs of a slowdown. The trip was awesome all around. We had some mechanical issues throughout the week and 48 degrees with hail is not ideal weather; but none the less we snuck in every bit of fun under the sun we could and rallied right through the weather.
Most of the close crew on the way home, ready to be home.
This was base camp. I would say about 60 people all-in-all in the "round up the wagons" western style camp site.
The wind was blowing and the sand was red which made for some really amazing detail in the photos.
Nic is a master at both the 4 wheeler and the motocycle. Catching some pretty big air off a dune.
Only one of about four times I jumped the whole trip. Don't worry mom my shoulder is fine, had my brace on.
Our friend Brock showing how rock crawlers work. This is some fascinating stuff in person I must say.
As I said, Nic is the master of both machines. He also is very good at crawling his Exterra and will soon have his own crawler.
Woke up in the morning to this unusual parking spot outside our RV.

Not April Fool's snow
As the Michigan State Spartans are about to win the title in their home state, I am out in Utah catching 34 inches of fresh powder! This weekend was the first time I had ridden since my shoulder popped out on Jan 30. I am so glad I went, because it was one of the deepest days I have had all year long, and ever for that matter. The snow report said 16 inches had fallen the previous day, and 15 inches fell overnight, so we were riding a solid 31 inches of powder, and since it was my first day back in 2 months I could definitely tell. Go Sparty!

MONSTER CIRKUS
Saturday, March 28, 2009
Gallivan Center, downtown Salt Lake City
It was an event for the ages. A modern day, 21st century-themed circus complete with an urban snowboard rail jam, a freestyle motocross jump, live bands, graffiti artists, and a multitude of live art performers. I was asked less then 3 weeks before the event to step in and help complete the event. Well, almost 4,000 people came out, and even though I was up for 41 straight hours during the event weekend I can still say that it was a great event. Sorry I do not have more photos, I was running around like crazy all day. The freestyle motocross guys doing backflips was insane!
We started set up the night before at 10:30 pm
The snowboard portion of the event finally ready at 7:30 am
Homies Ryan and Coop chillin in the Technine vendor booth.
One of the few shots I got from up above. This was during the first round qualifiers
The 1st-5th place winners, along with the excellent MC's of Cheesburger and BJ, getting their photo opps in.
